Tree Service in Frisco Lakes
A tree reaches a one-story roof years before it would reach a two-story one. Frisco Lakes is one-story.
Why the Roofline Matters
One real estate guide lists Frisco Lakes as a Del Webb active adult community begun in 2006, planned for about 3,000 single-story homes of roughly 1,150 to 3,000 square feet near the shore of Lake Lewisville.
Across most of Frisco the houses are two stories and a yard tree spends its first fifteen years below the eaves. Here the eaves are within reach of a ten-year-old tree. Limbs arrive at the gutter and the shingles early, on houses set close together, with the neighbor's roof not far beyond the fence.
So the clearance work that other neighborhoods need at year twenty is needed here at year ten, on smaller trees, with smaller cuts. That is good news if it is done on time.

What to Ask For
- Roof clearance while the limbs are small. Cutting back to a side branch now avoids removing a major limb later.
- Crown raising over walks and driveways, so nobody has to duck.
- Removal and replacement of a tree that was simply too large a species for the space.
- Stump grinding with care for the irrigation lines in a compact front yard.
Who maintains what
Communities of this kind often fold some yard care into the association fee, and the line between what the association's landscaper handles and what is left to the owner differs from one to the next. Read the association's documents or ask the office before hiring out tree work, and ask whether tree removal needs approval.
This site says plainly on every page that tree work is dangerous. That applies with extra force to pruning from a ladder at the edge of a roof. If the limb cannot be reached from the ground with hand tools, it is a job for a crew with the equipment.
