About Frisco Tree Care Pros

A referral line for tree work, built around one observation about this city.

What This Site Is

Frisco Tree Care Pros does not own a chipper. It is a website and a phone number. When you call or send the form, your request is passed to an independent tree service that works in and around Frisco. That company comes out, looks at the tree, tells you what it recommends and what it will cost, and does the job if you agree. You are its customer, and you pay it directly.

The site may be paid a referral fee by that contractor. It costs you nothing to use, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone.

The Observation

Frisco was a town of a few thousand people until the 1990s. Then it built housing for nearly two hundred thousand more in about thirty years, under a zoning code that required shade trees on each new lot. The result is a city where the trees came in cohorts, like school classes, and each cohort reaches the same trouble in the same years.

That makes tree work here more predictable than in an old city with trees of every age. Everything on this site is organized around it: tell us the build year, and you have told us most of what a crew needs to know before it arrives.

Licenses and Credentials, Stated Carefully

  • Tree trimming and removal. This site found no Texas state license for it. That makes a company's general liability insurance the document to ask for.
  • ISA Certified Arborist. A voluntary credential from the International Society of Arboriculture, earned by experience and examination and renewed on a three-year cycle. It is not a license. Holders can be looked up in the ISA's public directory.
  • Pesticide and fungicide application. Licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture when done for pay. Treatments for emerald ash borer and oak wilt fall here.
  • Work near power lines. Within six feet of a high-voltage line, Oncor says only line-clearance personnel it has approved may work.
  • Irrigation repair. Licensed separately in Texas.

No license number appears on this site because the site performs none of this work.

How the Pages Were Written

Local facts here come from sources that can be checked: the City of Frisco's ordinances and web pages, the Handbook of Texas, Texas A&M Forest Service, Oncor, CoServ and dated local news reports. Where something could not be confirmed, the page says so. No prices are quoted, because none could be verified for Frisco. The photographs are illustrations.
